The long awaited follow up to Rowen's debut album is now here, due for release on
30th September 2006.Dreamy, harmony-driven piano and cello are mixed in effortlessly
with a more cutting edge style of lyricism.
Imagine the emotive riffs and melodic sensibility of an introspective Ben folds, then add
in the quirkiness and sharp-witted observation of other alternative young composers such
as Paddy Milner, and you're halfway to being able to describe “Compromises”.
Fans will receive lashings more of the same breathtaking vocal abilities they've come to
expect, along with tracks that demonstrate that as well as being quietly one of the most
talented composers around on the alternative scene today- she still has room for biting satire
and a quirky charm that would make Kate Bush proud.
“Compromises” is an ironic title for the album- it's the work of an artist who has finally found
her voice and is taking no prisoners. Even the over all production set out to (and, thankfully,
succeeded in) capturing the raw emotion and talent that radiates from her ever time she
performs live.
As well as being a treat for existing fans, “Compromises” will no doubt gain a whole new
following of devotees who also like their ladies articulate and with a razor sharp wit!
