Formed London 2005. Shaun Milton - vocals
and synthesizers, Hermione Love - vocals, keyboards, synthesizers, guitar,
Cai-Marle Garcia – bass, Daisy Coole – saxophones, and Eric Young – drums.
First album, recorded with original member Gerald Clark - vocals, piano,
'Where the silence should be’ released 2006 by Zube Records. A collection
of atmospheric, idiosyncratic, piano-based songs. The stripped
down production echo Roxy Music (a major influence)
along with Chet Baker, seventies-era Beach Boy’s ballards and Tom Waits
dreamscapes: romantic and edgy. |

Hermione Love joined in 2008 following
Gerald Clarks departure to work on his solo project. Since then Shaun
and Hermione have been writing new songs for the next album`Dog Violets.’
Two new songs, `Moon Valley’ and `Lullaby’ are included on the new Zube
Sampler. The
sound has evolved since the first album drawing on Hermione’s own
background in English electric folk and classical music and Shaun’s on-going
synth-obsession with early Roxy Music, Kraftwerk and Cluster. The new album
will be released in August 2010.
A fabulist will tell you: every story is a true story. |
